Yes, it was my wedding! Vilma and I decided to skip the traditional paper invitations and embrace the digital age. We shared a link and PNG files via email and Facebook instead. The invitation included a few key details along with the link to our wedding website. On the site, guests found more information about the event, including directions and an RSVP form. We loved celebrating with everyone!
Given the simplicity of the UX and UI, I decided to enhance the experience by incorporating a playful preload animation.
Here we aimed to step into the guests’ shoes, considering what they would need to know, what would interest them, and what would be most useful. That's why "Vestivalis" page was built around the essential details: the ceremony, its location, the dress code, directions on how to get there, and the event agenda.
My RSVP system was elegantly simple, consisting of just a basic Firebase setup. This allowed Vilma and me to track the number of expected guests.
